SAFETY BREAK
WHAT IS IT AND WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
Safety break is our proactive safety measure for patrons and swimmers. Previously known as “Adult Swim”, the new Safety Break will ensure inclusion of all individuals.
“Adult Swim” has been deemed discriminatory and not in accordance with the FHA. Like many other organizations in the Houston area, we have had to modify our practices to comply.
At the last 10 minutes of every hour, Lifeguards will call for a safety break asking all patrons to exit the water. During this time, we encourage patrons to hydrate, apply sunscreen, break for restroom, and rejoin us in the water after 10 minutes.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
